Oppo Find 7 Review

Reviews - United States

The smartphone market has become overcrowded with the advent of many players who want a share of the pie.  Each one of the important players in the market has at least one flagship product that catches the imagination of the common buyer.  The Chinese phone manufacturing firm, Oppo has the Find 7.

 Oppo Find 7 Review

The Find 7 is a device that resembles a slab with corners that have been squared off. It features a simple plain black face. The back plate is curved only very slightly in order to provide better grip. There are white versions of the phone also available.

The logo of the company is located under the camera that also features dual LED flash. The camera itself is 13 megapixel. The speakers are good enough, and can be found on the rear side of the device.

There is a small button embedded in the edge that helps in taking the cover off. After removing the cover you will be able to see the microSD card and micro SIM card slots along with the 3000 mAh battery. The 2.5 GHz quad-core processor is located further down.

The Find 7 offers all the usual flares of the contemporary smartphone. But there is nothing that is extra exciting. The 5.5 megapixel front camera is situated near the 5.5 inch screen.

Despite being carved entirely out of plastic, the device does not reveal any inadequacies. The best feature of the Find 7 is its (2560 x 1440) Quad HD display. It is as crisp as it can be from any viewing angle. There is no way an individual pixel can be picked out by a naked eye. There is, however, a little persistent problem with the brightness of the display. You would expect the screen to give maximum performance outdoors. This is not the case. If you are using it outdoors, you will be required to turn the brightness to its maximum.

It is useless to expect much from the speakers of a smartphone. However, the speakers at the rear of the Find 7 offer great sound quality. The clarity of the sound is not in any way usual for a smartphone.

The Find 7 runs on ColorOS which is a customized interface. The phone starts in a subtle manner with a familiar lock screen. The camera interface is, by default, found on the right hand side of the screen. Sometimes, the ColorOS seems a little bit overwrought, however, there are no inherent problems in the OS. At the end of the day, Oppo has done a great job.

Oppo has opted for the traditional camera without any extra charm. However, The 13 megapixel takes quite reasonable shots in most lights and environments.

  1. The screen of the device and its display are terrific.
  2. The device charges fast enough.
  3.  It offers great processing speed.

  1. The software may take some time before the user gets used to it.

  2. The camera is not exceptional

  3. The design is very simple

The Find 7 is a remarkable gadget produced by a company that is not very popular. Its best selling points are the display and the processing speed. The only hitch is the new software on which the device runs.
