What Is MOM.exe

Telecom

First of all you should know what exactly MOM.exe is. Basically MOM.exe is a monitoring program for the Catalyst Control Center. The creator of the program is ATI. To explain the concept we can say that it is an application that monitors the performance of ATI video card graphics. MOM.exe is required to ensure the smooth running of several functions of the graphic driver of video card.

Reinstalling the driver software is a short way to solve the problems related to MOM.exe. ATI was established in 1985 in Ontario, Canada. Basically it was a semiconductor technology corporation. K. Y. Ho was the founder of the company. Now it is important to know that it was Advanced Micro Devices or AMD which bought ATI in 2006. The new management decided to not use the ATI brand name any more and it was so until 2010.

How to Remove MOM.exe

Remove MOM.exe

In the Task Manager

There are some older versions of Windows that still run ATI software. And MOM.exe runs in the background which also means that you cannot view it in the Task Manager Applications tab. But there is a way to view MOM.exe. You simply have to open Windows Task Manager and click the Processes tab to view MOM.exe file in the list.

If the required file (MOM.exe) is not operating properly, it may cause issues with the smooth performance of your graphics card. Issues like this are best resolved when you reinstall the ATI Catalyst Control Center software.

Before you proceed, keep one thing in mind that installing and uninstalling drivers on Windows is only for Administrator users. So you will have to login as administrator to fix the issues. Without having administrator rights you won’t be able to log in.
